Propyleneoxide
Highly reactive epoxide monomer for making the polyether polypropyleneoxide that is slightly water-
and very organic-soluble. One of its main uses is in block A-B-A copolymers wiwth ethyleneoxide
to make amphiphilic surfactants that are bio-compatible and non-toxic. Both homo- and copolymers
find use in biomaterials, cosmetics, coatings, contact lenses and many other commercial areas.
