p-Xylylene or 1,4-bismethylenecyclohexadiene
This is the actual "monomer" to make
polyparaxylylene, also called parylene or PPX.
The cyclic dimer is the stable "monomer" for parylene.
Thermal conversion of the dimer cyclophane gives this
highly reactive species also called 1,4-dimethylenecyclohexadiene.
