Thermal Desorption

       Thermal desorption can be performed to measure the amount and composition of chemicals such as water and carbon oxides adsorbed that can serve as void generators within the composites.  The technique ramps up the heat into the material and qualitatively and quantitatively analyzes the chemical compounds given off.
