Non-Conductive Adhesives

Non-conductive adhesives are used to mount electronic device to PCB's (or anywhere else for that matter). The purpose for using a non-conductive adhesive is to position the device on the board such that subsequent attachment of the leads to the PCB can be accomplished. Sometimes the non-conductive adhesive must act as a heat sink and, therefore, must be thermally conductive.
