Vinyl Chloride Monomer
Simplest chlorine containing monomer
PVC or "vinyl" is one of the most useful commodity polymers around. The monomer for it is
vinyl chloride, not abbreviated VC in the industry, but VCM. It reacts free radically
but is somewhat toxic (not the polymer though) so be careful when using the monomer.
